Coffee

Well, it’s 2015. If you haven’t figured that out by now, I might suggest that you’ve been at your New Year’s Eve party for too long, and you might want to stop drinking now. It’s been a heck of a year for us here at Coffee Shop of Horrors. We’ve had some ups and downs, and I’m not referring to the rides at the local theme parks. Overall though, it’s been a promising year. We ran our IndieGoGo campaign to raise money to renovate the Screamliner Mobile Coffee Trailer, and I’m sad to say we did not raise the full amount we required to get it on the road. But all is not lost! No! We will persevere! We will […]

Coffee

(to the tune of “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”)   I’m dreaming of a good Dark Roast Just like the one I drank last night With nice aroma Perhaps from Mocha To help when energy is low   I’m dreaming of a good Dark Roast Poured by a barista with care And I hope that you can declare That no other coffee can compare   I’m dreaming of a good Dark Roast From beans that have been freshly ground That’s just been fresh brewed To help me pull through With lots of caffeine to be found   I’m dreaming of a good Dark Roast Maybe with sugar and some cream Or perhaps milk heated with steam And may all […]

I thought it tasted foul (I was so wrong!). I’m cheap. Yeah, there were lots of reasons. Even after I started drinking it, I was careful for quite some time to moderate my intake. Only a small cup now and then. But then the consumption increased slowly, because I have no self-control, and I finally have to admit something I have not wanted to admit to myself for some time. I’m a coffee addict. I know this because I have experienced that most dreaded of things… The caffeine headache. […]

Coffee

I’ve mentioned before that I live in Canada. Recently, I’ve had issues with my internet connection (I won’t go into great detail, but suffice to say Bell ignored me for a month), so I found my internet where I could. So I joined the ranks of the WiFi warrior. Specifically hanging out at coffee shops as much as I could to get my internet fix. So here’s a list of 5 good things and 5 bad things about getting your internet at the coffee shop: Good: Lots and lots of coffee: I don’t like being that guy who buys one coffee and sits around for 6 hours, so I do go up for at least a refill every so often. […]
