Tea

Sometimes I feel like I pay too much attention to coffee, and not enough to tea. Tea is wonderful, with its subtle earth flavors, wide range of tastes, and a certain class. Tea is the refined hot beverage, and it deserves to be in the limelight now and then. So of course, I’m going to abuse it by using it to make a silly list. If I did it to coffee last week, tea gets the same irreverent treatment. So this week, we have the 9 ways that tea is different from horror movies. 9) Putting a horror movie in your DVD player will most likely be fine. It is not recommended to put tea in your DVD player. 8) […]

Tea

Last week, I took a look at coffee, and how it could affect your health. Given the conflicting studies over the years, it can certainly make for a curious question. But while I have often heard people bickering about whether coffee is good or bad for you, I rarely hear the same thing about tea. I almost always hear that tea is good for you. Especially green tea. The buzzword I’ve heard most often is ‘antioxidants’, but most other tea recommendations are also glowing. So Is there really a lack of controversy? Mock Interviews, Tea

P.J. Hello again boys and ghouls. I have a special treat for you today. I’ve managed to track down the wolfman for an exclusive interview! We’re going to have a howlingly good time today! I do understand that it’s part of the popular vernacular, but I enjoy challenging preconceptions now and then. P.J. Well, good for you. Given that, what are your preconceptions on coffee? Wolfman Oh, I’m not much of a coffee drinker, really. I much prefer a nice cup of tea. Earl Grey is my standby, but a nice green tea or […]

Tea

I enjoy my tea. It’s nice to sit inside on a cold winter day with a nice soothing cuppa and relax after a hard day’s work. I also am about as unimaginative a tea drinker as you’ll find. Heat water to appropriate temperature, steep tea leaves for appropriate amount of time, drink plain. I tend not to go in for the fancy hoo-ha of adding cream or milk or spices or lemon or whatever else people like to add to their tea. This is not to say I won’t drink tea any other way. When I was a kid, my friend’s mom would serve us tea liberally sweetened with sugar and loaded with cream. Or was it sugar and cream […]

Coffee, Tea

Happy New Year, boys and ghouls! We’ve got a brand new year of mischief and mayhem ahead of us, and I’m happy as a vampire who’s just been invited into a sorority house! We here at Coffee Shop of Horrors have big plans going into this new year. But first, I want to say a genuine Thank You to all of you who have been supporting us over the past year, whether that be buying your coffee from us, sharing our social media posts, participating in our contests, or even just reading the stuff I write. You are what makes all the work we do worth it. Seriously, when someone tells us how much they love our coffee, and that […]
