Tanzanian Peaberry – Crystal River Sludge


We’ve teamed up with our friends at Crystal River Fast Lube to bring you a slightly darker roast of our Tanzanian Peaberry regional coffee! Not only can you now get a bolder variant of this energizing brew, you can also pick it up at the only auto shop that serves our coffee in their waiting room.

This Tanzanian coffee is called peaberry because only one coffee bean matures in the ripened fruit, instead of two. So all the caffeine forms in just the one bean. That’s a lot of energy in a little package! Peaberries also roast more evenly. They’re round so they roll, which means they can’t get stuck on one side, and no side gets over-roasted.

Grown on Mount Kilimanjaro, the weather and altitude makes it an ideal location for growing coffee beans. The cooler temperatures at higher elevations mean the bean ripens slowly, allowing it time to mature and produce a smooth cup, while the volcanic soil contributes to its bright acidity.

This coffee has black tea notes with a chocolate tone and a hint of blackberry and kiwi. Add to that its lemony acidity and you get a sweet, balanced, complex brew, giving you great taste with your extra caffeine buzz.
